About GeoTagImage

GeoTagImage is a browser-first toolkit for adding GPS coordinates to supported image files, inspecting EXIF metadata, and organizing photo workflows for local businesses, marketers, photographers and SEO teams.

Our position on SEO: we do not present GPS EXIF as a confirmed Google local ranking factor. Google publicly describes local ranking mainly through relevance, distance and prominence. Our tools help with metadata workflow, verification and asset organization; search visibility still depends on the broader quality and relevance of your business presence.

Why We Built It

Image metadata tools are often fragmented: one tool writes location data, another checks EXIF, and teams still need a repeatable way to name, verify and publish files. GeoTagImage combines those steps in a focused workflow designed to be understandable even for non-technical users.

Privacy-First Processing

The tool experience is designed around browser-side processing wherever the feature allows it. That reduces unnecessary file transfer and makes it easier to work with client photos. Users should still avoid adding or publishing sensitive GPS coordinates when location disclosure is not appropriate.

Who It Is For

How We Publish Guides

Our blog separates documented platform guidance from practical recommendations. Where a search ranking claim is uncertain or unconfirmed, we say so. See the Editorial Policy for more detail.
