Clear Terms for a
Simple, Free Tool

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GeoTagImage at imagegeotag.com ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, free plan users, registered users, and paid plan subscribers. Using the Service — including simply visiting the website — constitutes acceptance of these Terms.

2. Description of Service

GeoTagImage provides browser-based image metadata tools including:

• Geo Tag Image Tool: Adds GPS coordinates, SEO keywords, title, description, and keyword-rich filenames to JPEG and WebP images using client-side JavaScript.
• EXIF Checker: Reads and displays EXIF metadata from uploaded images, including GPS coordinates, title, description, and keywords.
• User Dashboard: For registered users — displays plan details, usage statistics, and account management.

All image processing occurs locally in your browser. No image files are transmitted to our servers at any point. The Service requires an internet connection to load the tool interface and for map/geocoding functionality, but image processing itself works offline once the page is loaded.

3. Accounts & Registration

No Account Required for Free Plan

The free plan does not require account creation. You can geo tag up to 20 images per day immediately, without providing an email address or any personal information.

Account Registration for Paid Plans

To access Pro or Premium plans, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your account information as necessary
• Keep your password confidential and not share account access
• Notify us immediately at wasih480@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized account access
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits is a violation of these Terms and may result in all accounts being suspended.

4. Free Plan Terms

The free plan is available to all users without registration and includes:

• Up to 20 geo tag image exports per day, resetting at midnight
• Up to 10 images per batch upload
• Full access to the EXIF Checker tool
• All core geo tagging features: GPS writing, keyword metadata, filename rename, JPEG and WebP export

Free Plan Limits

Daily limits are tracked using your browser's localStorage and, for logged-in users, via server-side usage records. Attempting to circumvent daily limits (e.g., by clearing localStorage, using VPNs, or creating multiple accounts) is a violation of these Terms.

5. Paid Plan Terms

GeoTagImage offers two paid plans. All paid plans require a registered account and are subject to manual payment verification.

Plan Activation

Paid plans are activated manually after payment verification. Activation typically occurs within 24 hours of a verified payment submission. During the verification period, your account remains on the Free plan.

Plan Expiry

Paid plans are valid for 30 days from activation. At expiry, the plan automatically reverts to the Free plan. Renewal requires a new payment submission and verification.

Pro Plan Usage Limit

The Pro plan includes 100 total image exports within the 30-day plan period. If you reach 100 images before the 30 days elapse, the plan reverts to Free for the remainder of the period. Unused image credits do not carry over to the next plan period.

6. Payments & Billing

Payment Method

GeoTagImage uses manual bank transfer payment. There is no automated payment processor integration. To subscribe to a paid plan:

1. Transfer the exact plan amount to our bank account:

2. Submit your payment screenshot and email address through our payment form on the geo tag tool page
3. Wait for manual verification (up to 24 hours) and plan activation

Payment Amounts

• Pro Plan: $3 USD per 30-day period
• Premium Plan: $10 USD per 30-day period

Payment Verification

We manually verify each payment screenshot. We check that:

• Payment was sent to the correct account (Muhammad Wasi Haider — IBAN: PK56UNIL0109000310275815)
• The payment amount matches the selected plan price
• The screenshot appears genuine and unaltered

Payment Confirmation

Once your payment is verified and your plan is activated, you will receive a confirmation email to the address you provided during payment submission.

7. Refund Policy

General Policy

Due to the nature of digital services and the manual verification process, all payments are generally non-refundable once a plan has been activated.

Exceptions — When We Will Refund

We will issue a full refund in the following circumstances:

• Activation failure: You paid but your plan was not activated within 48 hours and our team failed to respond to a follow-up email
• Double payment: You accidentally submitted two payments for the same plan period
• Service unavailability: The Service was completely unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours during your paid plan period
• Technical impossibility: Due to a verified technical issue on our end, you were unable to use your plan features throughout the plan period

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email wasih480@gmail.com within 14 days of the issue, including your email address, transaction reference, and a clear description of the problem. We aim to resolve refund requests within 5 business days.

8. Acceptable Use Policy

Permitted Uses

You may use GeoTagImage to:

• Geo tag photos for legitimate business, personal, or professional purposes
• Add GPS metadata to images you own or have rights to modify
• Check and verify EXIF metadata of images you own or have rights to inspect
• Optimize images for local SEO, Google Business Profile, and other legitimate marketing purposes

Prohibited Uses

You must not use the Service to:

• Circumvent limits: Use technical means (bots, scripts, VPN rotation, multiple accounts) to bypass free plan usage limits
• Illegal activity: Process images for any purpose that violates applicable law, including images that are illegal in your jurisdiction
• Privacy violations: Geo tag images of individuals without their consent in contexts where this could constitute stalking, harassment, or privacy violation
• Misrepresentation: Use geotagged images to create false or misleading geographic claims about a business or location
• Unauthorized access: Attempt to access, probe, or test the security of GeoTagImage's systems
• Automated scraping: Use bots or automated tools to interact with the Service
• Reselling without authorization: Resell or sublicense access to GeoTagImage without our prior written consent
• Service disruption: Attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Service or its servers

9. Intellectual Property

Your Images

You retain full ownership of all images you process using GeoTagImage. We claim no rights, title, or interest in any images you upload, geo tag, or download. Because processing is entirely client-side, your images are never transmitted to us — we never see them, store them, or have any claim over them.

GeoTagImage Platform

The GeoTagImage platform, including its source code, design, logos, brand identity, and content, is owned by GeoTagImage and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, or distribute our platform code or design
• Use our name, logo, or brand identity without written permission
• Create derivative works based on the GeoTagImage platform
• Reverse engineer the platform (though client-side JavaScript is inherently inspectable)

Third-Party Libraries

GeoTagImage uses open-source libraries including piexifjs, JSZip, Leaflet, and others. These are used under their respective open-source licenses. We do not claim ownership of these libraries.

10. Disclaimers & Warranties

Service Provided "As Is"

GeoTagImage is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• GPS coordinates written to images will guarantee any specific SEO or ranking outcome
• EXIF data written by the tool will be correctly read by all third-party platforms (including Google Business Profile)
• The Service will be compatible with all browsers, devices, or operating systems

SEO Outcomes

While geotagging images is an established local SEO practice and we describe its potential benefits in good faith, we make no guarantee of specific search engine ranking improvements. SEO outcomes depend on many factors outside our control.

Browser Compatibility

The geo tag image tool requires a modern browser with JavaScript enabled. We support the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. We do not guarantee functionality on older browsers or Internet Explorer.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GeoTagImage and its operators shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service
• Loss of data, images, or EXIF metadata during processing (though this is extremely unlikely given client-side architecture)
• Any loss of SEO rankings or business resulting from use or non-use of the Service
• Third-party platforms (like Google Business Profile) stripping EXIF data from uploaded images
• Inaccurate geocoding results from the map search feature

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 30 days preceding the claim. For free plan users, our liability is limited to $0.

12. Termination

Your Right to Stop Using the Service

You may stop using GeoTagImage at any time. If you have a registered account, you may request account deletion by emailing wasih480@gmail.com. Account deletion terminates any active paid plan without refund (unless a refund exception applies under Section 7).

Our Right to Terminate or Suspend

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if:

• You violate any provision of these Terms
• You submit fraudulent payment information
• You attempt to circumvent usage limits or abuse the Service
• Your account is used for illegal purposes
• We are required to do so by law or court order

Free plan users cannot be "terminated" in the traditional sense (no account exists), but we reserve the right to block IP addresses engaged in abuse of the Service.

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Any data associated with your account (usage records, payment records) may be retained for legal and financial record-keeping purposes as described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
• Notify registered users by email at least 7 days before changes take effect
• Post a notice on the GeoTagImage homepage for significant changes

Continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the Service and, if applicable, request account deletion.

For minor changes (such as grammar corrections, clarifications that don't alter the substance of the Terms, or updates to reflect new features that are clearly beneficial), we may update the Terms without advance notice.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in the operator's country of residence.

Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and GeoTagImage regarding your use of the Service, and supersede any prior agreements.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
